Four and Twenty Blackbirds is an Ontario Farm Family Business and was established in 1990 by proprietress Gayle Allen. She and her husband Richard have traveled all over Ontario selling their quality baked goods and fine teas, from their period shop. They demonstrate period cooking and baking techniques, and educate on the types and uses of fine tea. Gayle has been cooking and baking since she was a child. And has made a lifetime study of the culinary arts. Some years ago she turned her interest to historical cooking and baking, and has become famous throughout Ontario and Eastern Canada for her delicious baked goods.
