Faith Community Church began as an extension ministry from the Church of the Open Bible in Ponoka way back in September of 2005. There's a lot that has happened since that time as the church continued to grow and serve the community of Blackfalds. It has a governing team that we affectionately refer to as the 'A- Team', a group of men, two of whom are Elders, one who is a Deacon. There are also a group of women who also serve on this team, two Deaconess and an awesome Treasurer. The pastor of the church is the last member of the team. If you were to ask us to describe what kind of church this is we'd probably say that it's one in which there's room for you. We highly value the way that each person of this small but growing ministry has an important contribution to make. Why don't you come and see for yourself. The church has recently made the move to purchase a building in the downtown core. We are now located at 5005 Broadway Avenue and though things are still some renovation it's looking like home more and more. This will be a significant change for our church as its visibility in the community increases and the capability to connect to the people of the community made much easier. We really look forwards to serving the people of Blackfalds with this new facility.
