It was Walter and Marguerite Camp in 1927 who helped transform the area into a world class attraction. After travelling the world and finding Johnston Canyon, Walter Camp was mesmerized by the 7 waterfalls, inkpots and majestic mountain setting. Walter and Marguerite decided to settle there, transforming a current building on the site into a log teahouse. They also took charge of the task of building a trail through the Canyon, funded by Banff National Parks.
