Thistlestone Farm was established in 1979. We slowly expanded over the years and our flock grew to about 400 head, Polled Dorset and Suffolk, purebred and commercial. We successfully managed for many years an accelerated lambing program, where ewes had the opportunity to lamb 3 times in 2 years. All our animals were on the Canadian Record of Performance Testing Program (ROP) which included EPD's. (We have cut back the past few years to 200 ewes and are on a once a year staggered breeding/lambing program.) We have sold livestock across Canada and into the U.S.A., Mexico and Russia.
