Abbotsford, B. V2S 2H1 (604) 855-1894 About : Dave Kyle Educated in Canada and England with academic majors in English and history Dave Kyle split his career between teaching at high school and college and managing tourism businesses before following his life-long passion for books into an on-line business in the mid 1990's. Trained in repairing period bindings and a collector of rare antiquaria and Canadian military history, in 2001 he eventually bought a well established book store out in the Fraser Valley . About Hemingway’s New & Used Books Hemingway’s Books began in 1991. At nearly 8, 000 sq. it is one of the largest stores of its kind in Western Canada. It blends new and used books thus offering the latest best sellers as well as the hard to find out of print titles. The stock is well maintained, meticulously organised and covers over 100 popular categories on two floors. They also sell vinyl records. Their website (hemibooks.com) offers over 7, 000, 000 books available for ordering on top of the hundreds of thousands of titles that sit on the shelves. To restock their shelves they purchase or take used books in trade. Hemingway’s also buys remaindered titles and new books from scores of sources throughout North America. A small portion of their inventory is also offered for sale online at Amazon.com, Amazon.ca and ABE Books where they sell under the name hemibooks. Hemingways Books is located in the heart of historic Abbotsford with parking available at the back of the building. They are open every day, except Christmas.
